Wilmington United FA has a new look for our Academy Program

 

WUFA Academy Soccer

Wilmington United FA will be integrating competitive travel in with our program. Teams will have the opportunity to play in 1 or 2 tournaments and play friendly matches with other competitive programs. Teams will practice 2 nights/week with their teams and may also play recreational soccer at Port City Soccer (portcitysoccer.org).

We have already conducted a tryout session in May but are looking to add to our teams for the season. We will be offering another tryout on August 11th at 9:00 am at Eaton Elementary fields.

Practice will be conducted with technical training, fitness and understanding of the game as its focus. Players will be expected to be on time, ready to give full effor, be focused and show respect. Our Academy program is a precusor to our WUFA Select program and we hold high standards for behavior and excellence.

Code of Conduct

What we expect out of a Wilmington United FA Player!

As a Wilmington United FA player and member I am expected to follow the club's code of conduct and guidelines.I am aware that:

  1. SportsmanshipI will encourage good sportsmanship from fellow players, coaches, officials and parents at all times.

  2. Learning & FunI will remember that soccer is an opportunity to learn and have fun.

  3. Drug & Alcohol Free I deserve to play in an environment that is free of drugs, tobacco, and alcohol; and expect everyone to refrain from their use at all soccer games. Alcohol, illegal drugs and unauthorized prescription drugs shall not be possessed, consumed or distributed before, during or after any game or at any other time at the field and/or game complex or while traveling as a representative of Wilmington United FA and US Club.

  4. Do Your BestI will do the best I can each day, remembering that all players have talents and weaknesses the same as I do.

  5. RespectI will treat my coaches, teammates, opponents, game officials, other administrators, and fans with respect at all times and I will expect to be treated accordingly.

  6. Play By RulesI will play by the rules at all times knowing that integrity is important.

  7. Self ControlI will at all times control my temper, resisting the temptation to retaliate or lash out at anyone. I will always excercise self control.

  8. RepresentWhile traveling and/or wearing WUFA gear, I will conduct myself properly as a representitive of Wilmington United FA.
